JOLLYDOOM
Well, yes, we want to sell a product. We want to make money and live. But we do truly hope to make something more. It’s hard in this day and age to raise a voice that isn’t cynical or doesn’t feel fraudulent. To tap into something that isn’t superficial or overplayed but comes from somewhere deeper. To try to do that in a public facing way and not bend to scrutiny, or even to imagined potential scrutiny. We’ve all been in a rough patch for some years now where it’s hard and often not particularly cool to believe in something. But we’ve been feeling sickened by this sentiment recently, and so we believe it’s time to try another path, regardless of the difficulties. We can learn to walk through the darkness without being overtaken by it, and if we may be so bold, we believe we can even learn to bend it to our wills.
We find ourselves feeling run down with a need to rise up, but we’ve no banner to march behind. This is our attempt to raise our own flag.
